At the beginning of 2024, during the Tet Nguyen Dan GiapThin, Ho Chi Minh City will continue to organize a series of events to serve the local people and visitors for exploration and appreciation.

     Firstly, there will be a tour program of the Headquarters of the People's Committee and the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City in December 2023, scheduled for December 30th and 31st, 2023, from 8:00 am to 5:40 pm, completely free of charge. Residents and tourists will have the opportunity to visit the national-level architectural heritage site to gain a deeper understanding of the cultural significance, historical value, and architecture of the over 100-year-old buildings.

     Next is the event of welcoming visitors to Ho Chi Minh City at the beginning of 2024, which will be held on January 1st, 2024, at the International Arrival Terminal, Tan Son Nhat Airport.

     This is an annual event in the city's tourism industry, showcasing the cultural essence of the city named after Uncle Ho to friends and tourists from near and far. Additionally, it marks the beginning of new breakthroughs in Ho Chi Minh City's tourism industry in the new year.

     Following that are the series of events for the 2024 Homeland Spring Program for overseas Vietnamese, the 2024 Vietnamese New Year Festival from January 18th to 21st, 2024.

     The series of events also include the Tet Flower Market for the Tet Nguyen Dan Giap Thin - 2024. Accordingly, the city-level Tet flower market will be organized at 23/9 Park, District 1 (Zone A, Zone B); Gia Dinh Park, Phu Nhuan District - Go Vap District (Zone A, Zone B, and Zone C); and Le Van Tam Park, District 1, managed by the Ho Chi Minh City Green Park Limited Liability Company; The "On the Riverbank, Under the Boat" Spring Flower Market organized by District 8 People's Committee and the Department of Culture and Sports…

     The Tet Nguyen Dan Giap Thin Flower Festival - 2024, with the theme "Spring of Love - Reunion Tet," will be held at Tao Dan Park from February 6th, 2024 (the 27th of the 12th lunar month in the Year of the Quy Mao) to February 15th, 2024 (the 6th day of the first lunar month in the Year of the Giap Thin). According to the plan, the opening ceremony will take place at 6:30 pm on February 6th, 2024 (the 27th of the 12th lunar month). The closing ceremony will be held at 5:30 pm on February 15th, 2024 (the 6th day of Tet).

     Nguyen Hue Flower Street for Tet Giap Thin will serve the spring outing and sightseeing needs of city residents and tourists from 7:00 pm on February 7th, 2024 (the 28th of the 12th lunar month in the Year of the Quy Mao) to 9:00 pm on February 14th, 2024 (the 5th day of Tet Giap Thin). This marks the 21st year that Ho Chi Minh City has organized a spring outing space, providing a unique Tet experience for city residents and tourists from both domestic and international locations.

     The flower street will have the theme "Spring of Love, Reunion Tet," stretching over 600 meters, divided into 3 main sections: "Roots of the homeland," "Crossing the river and sea," and the final section is "Integration and development."

     This year, the flower street will make a strong impression right from the entrance with the pair of Dragon and Lotus mascots elegantly named "Twin Dragons with Lotus Thrones." In addition to setting a record for the size of zodiac animals ever appearing on Nguyen Hue Flower Street, this year's Dragon mascot is also environmentally friendly, with over 90% of the materials used in its structure being bamboo and woven bamboo blinds.

     In parallel with this, businesses operating tourism services within the city are urgently finalizing various inner-city tour programs for the Tet holiday to meet the demands of tourists. They are emphasizing the rollout of one-day experiences in Ho Chi Minh City with multiple options such as: District 1 - Vibrant Nightlife; Nha Be - Thousand and One Nights; Following the footsteps of Saigon's disabled; Legends of a canal; Exploring District 10 - Hearing Traditional Medicine Tales; Returning to the island hamlet of Thieng Lieng...

     Some new services catering to tourists include double-decker overnight buses and double-decker water buses. Additionally, for attractions within the city, many programs and lively activities are being swiftly implemented with discounted ticket prices during the Tet Nguyen Dan holiday to serve both locals and tourists.

New Year's activities of the City during the 2024 Gregorian New Year

     vFrom 0:00 - 0:15 on January 1, 2024, fireworks will be displayed in the tunnel area of the Saigon River, Thu Thiem, and low-altitude fireworks at Dam Sen Cultural Park;

     Artistic countdown programs on the night of December 31, 2023, at the Ho Chi Minh Statue Park and Nguyen Hue Street, District 1; Artistic countdown program on the night of December 31, 2023, at the Saigon River waterfront park, Thu Thiem.

     Artistic performances in districts and counties (Can Gio, Nha Be, Cu Chi, Hoc Mon, Binh Chanh, Binh Tan, Tan Phu, District 12, and Thu Duc City), Youth Cultural Centers, some colleges, universities, industrial parks, and export processing zones.

     Additionally, there will be a Marathon, martial arts festival in front of the City Theater, Cycling race on the Mai Chi Tho route (section from Dong Van Cong - former toll station of Saigon River tunnel) in the Sala urban area, Dai Quang Minh.
